Finally the time has come and I can tell you all about my plans. I’m going to SAN DIEGO! In fact for five months, cause I’ll be doing a semester abroad. You have no idea how hard it was for me to not talk about it so much since 5 months now! I’ve told you in November that I’ve received great news cause this was the time where I got the acceptance for San Diego State University (the more than beautiful building in the first picture, yes it’s the university!).
I hope you understand the reason why I couldn’t tell you about all this a little earlier. I had to handle a lot of things after I received my acceptance, especially financially. Because for this semester abroad I have to pay everything on my own. „Do I get Federal Law in Support for Education? I have to apply soon. Do I need a loan? Where do I want to live?“ and many more questions I had to think about. I’ve applied as soon as possible to get the support and yesterday I got a positive feedback – yes, this took 5 months!
There were many smaller and larger (and huge) hurdles in-between but I’ve mastered all so far. Only since yesterday it’s 100% sure that I’ll take the semester abroad there. The last months I was always looking for flights but since yesterday I’ve real pleasure to search. I wish I didn’t had to keep it private for 5 months, but I didn’t want to tell anything until it wasn’t 100% sure. I’m so looking forward to the great city, the experiences and CALIFORNIA!!! For me it has always been a dream to experience how it is to study at a University in America. And this dream will finally come true this year.
I’ll fly either in late July or early August and it isn’t long till then! That means that I will provide you with plenty of blogposts from California. I hope you will follow my semester abroad in San Diego here on my blog! If you already have some blogpost wishes you can write everything down and I will remember. I’m really excited and and looking forward to this incredible experience abroad.
